Carolina Castro, B20 Executive Director  

With a degree in political sciences, Castro has worked in the business and political spheres. In 2017, she engaged in the Labour Organization Conference as a government delegate and had participated as an employer’s delegate in the conference since 2012. Additionally, she has served as the chair of the youth and legislation departments at the Industrial Chamber of Argentina. She was also the Undersecretary of Small and Medium Enterprises at the Production Ministry. With all of this experience, Castro has many ideas and goals for the upcoming B20 Summit in Argentina. She will moderate various panels among business leaders.

Castro is expected to focus on the digital economy and how in a world so engaged in the internet and business via the internet, how to ensure all countries and businesses are able to participate.

“In the transition to a digital economy, different regions and sectors of G20 community face diverse challenges. How can we assure no one is left behind? This is one of the B20 concerns that will be pro-actively addressed in our discussions.”
